Rise Up!

Here is another great performance from the PS22 Chorus of 2012 that features the extremely talented and memorably good-hearted Saleem (from the 2011 group)! This is a song he wrote with his dad that he shared with us when he visited the group at the end of May. We loved the song so much that we were compelled to 22-ify it with some great harmonies that the chorus learned and performed the day this was filmed! Saleem does an extraordinary job on the lead vocals on this wonderful and inspirational song, and we are super-proud of him!!  Check it out below!

Saleem and the amazing PS 22 chorus touching our hearts again with this beautiful song written by this young man and his dad. Bravo Mr B for your guidance, the harmonies were angelic.

Saleem and this video show two facts quite clearly: 1) Mr. B. is definitely teaching so much more than music (Okay, I knew that already, but it doesn't hut to repeat) and 2) Kids who were in the chorus stay awesome.

This leads to the conclusion that Mr. B changes lives for the better. I know, that's not really a surprise. But again, does it hurt to repeat?

Wow what a beautiful performance straight from the heart, bring tears to my eyes, to think this 11 year old has it within himself to write such beautiful words that has touched so many of us in so many different ways.

I remembered an interview with Saleem in 2011 when he said, "Mr. B said we just have to feel the music", and believe me when I say we have all felt the music .... 100% thumbs up to you all, Mr. B continue to do what you do best, Saleem we wish to hear more of what you have to offer and to these precious children continue to sing your hearts out to the world!

Was searching cover songs online and came across this beautiful song created by Saleem and sung by your students. Mr. B this comment is for you - thanks for cementing my belief that teachers really do make a diff despite what is happening to the profession today. As a 28 year veteran teacher it warms my heart to see your excitement and joy as you teach these kids. You obviously share "who you are" with your kids, and that inspires them to do the same.
