True North

Very proud to present "True North," a song that I wrote for the PS22 Chorus of 2011! The kids make it look and sound easy, but this is a very tricky tune with some wickedly difficult changes and harmonies. Very proud of them for doing this such incredible justice.

"True North," among other things, is a dedication to my grandmother, Bertha "Nana" Hall, who passed away last month. I'm very grateful that she was able to experience the journey of PS22 Chorus during the past 11 years, I know it brought her incredible pride and joy every time she got to see and hear the kids.

Big thanks to Marquis & Mr. Eberle for the accompaniment, and major props to Denise for the soulful soloing! And of course, huge thanks to Ms. Lisa for her always beautiful filming....
