Standing Ovation at Tribeca Film Festival!!

Last Sunday, the PS22 Chorus of 2011 regrouped for one of the most surreal experiences we've ever had -- the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of ONCE IN A LULLABY: The PS22 Chorus Story! The film had the honor of being show at SVA1 Theater, one of the largest venues of the festival! The sold-out crowd (which included our friend and supporter Perez Hilton) was applauding throughout the picture and the kids showed that they can dominate the big screen in addition to computer monitors across the world, receiving a standing ovation at the conclusion of the screening! Before the film, the kids walked the Tribeca Red Carpet, interviewed with reporters, and even did an impromptu performance of "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele! Following the premiere, director Jonathan Kalafer, Mr. B, and Paul King (Executive Director of the Arts for the Dept. of Education) participated in a panel discussion hosted by Caitlin Meissner (Tribeca Film Institute's Education Program Developer)! Stay tuned for video footage coming soon, but in the meantime, enjoy some great pics from the premiere courtesy of Jonathan, Victor Breinberg, Steve Breinberg, and Michael Levy!

Can't wait to see the 2011 crew...seems like it will be like seeing a long lost relative, who suddenly returns.

I hope we'll get to see the Tribeca panel discussion too.

What you, Mr. B, are doing year after year is so incomparably amazing. It's great there's a documentary that catches more of the magic...
