2 and a 1/2 New Tunes!

Every chorus practice in these crucial early days brings significant improvement. Friday was special! First some of the group got together in the morning to put the finishing touches on some of the new material we've been working on. And of course they sound brilliant! Expect full chorus renditions of these songs soon...

"One Day" by Bjork

"In The Bleak Midwinter" Christmas traditional

And lastly, the full chorus got together in the afternoon and really took it to the next level. I think you can see and hear the progression with this new acoustic guitar rendition of Coldplay's "Viva La Vida". The improvement is evident when watching this video back to back with Tuesday's full chorus piano version.

Wow, I wish we'd had something like that at school when I was a kid. It's inspiring to see how much the kids enjoy the music, and how you, Mr B, enjoy teaching them - keep up the awesomely great work ^_^

Just have to say that these are all so very fantastic, and that it is quite amazing the rapport one is able to create just by getting together and singing some tunes.

Wonderful job!

As an obsessed Tori Amos fan (she's tattooed on the back of my leg), a choir kid through my life and now a children's photographer (Mr. B - check out the name of my studio!)...Keeping up with this blog and sharing the PS22 Chorus's videos with everyone that I know has become a priority. Mr. B - THANK YOU for doing what you do and for being so darn good at it. Thank you for posting these videos for everyone to see and share, and thank you for introducing the current generation to some of the best songwriters to have ever lived...At least in my opinion. And to the PS22 Chorus (current and past member) - THANK YOU for doing what you do and for being so darn good at it. Thank you for singing your hearts out and for bringing smiles to people's faces, including mine in Chicago. Keep up the good work and one day when I'm in New York, maybe I'll be lucky enough to photograph you guys. And maybe I'll be lucky enough to actually sing with you - that would be nothing short of an honor.

Hi, I just wanted to congratulate you on your amazing work with these kids. The covers are so beautiful and moving. I’m a huge fan of Tori Amos, that’s how I found your blog, and have shared my discovery with many friends. I think it’s wonderful that kids are exposed to good music in this way and it’s commendable. I wish you all the best.

Hi PS22 Chorus:

This is for the soloist...

Your voice has a beautiful, soothing tone and your manner while singing is inspiring. I love how gently and naturally you sang your part and I can't wait to hear more. You have pure talent. Sing out proud, girl!

Watching these children sing shows their passion for music. You can tell that all of those children are happy to be sitting right there singing in that room with you. Beautiful music and wonderful choices of songs.
