This is a song called "Flavor" off of Tori Amos's fantastic new album, which came out only last week! I'm very proud of how quickly and how beautifully the kids learned the song, and Maya and Samantha together on the duet add the perfect touch! Another great job kiddos, I'm loving this one....

What leaves me breathless and in awe is how the kids don't control the music, don't own it, but serve it. They BECOME the music and therefore touch on something so beautiful and pure...almost spiritual. I'm curious at how you go about bringing that out... Kudos and thanks to all of you for sharing with us moments of grace.

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the ABC Nightline feature! It is great to see P.S. 22 getting so much attention. I'm a fine arts teacher myself in Texas (Mr. D, oddly enough) and I have been following you for quite a while (learned about you a few years ago through the atforumz).
